Introduction

Artificial intelligence is accelerating changes in the global job market. Many routine tasks previously performed by entry-level professionals are now being automated.

Research suggests that AI systems could automate a large percentage of tasks in dozens of white-collar occupations, particularly roles that involve repetitive data processing or administrative work.

This does not mean jobs will disappear entirely. Instead, the nature of many roles is evolving. Employers increasingly expect graduates to combine academic knowledge with practical skills such as technology literacy, problem-solving, and adaptability.

Does This Mean These Degrees Are "Useless"?
Not at all.

A degree alone is no longer enough in many industries. What matters more is how students combine their academic studies with real-world experience and technical capabilities.
Students in at-risk majors can significantly improve their career prospects by adding complementary skills such as:

Data analysis
Coding or technical tools
Digital marketing
Project management
Industry certifications
Many graduates also pursue double majors or postgraduate programs that align their interests with stronger job market demand.
